Igor Terekhov: General plan will determine the life of Kharkiv for 100 years to come

The Kharkiv Master Development Plan, which is being developed jointly with the Norman Foster Foundation with the support of the German government and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, will determine the city's life for 100 years to come.

This was stated by Mayor Igor Terekhov today, on June 11, at a panel discussion at the Ukraine Recovery Conference.

“We are creating a step-by-step action plan that will guide Kharkiv's life for about 50-100 years. This includes an economic model, architecture, restoration, industrial and scientific parks. Of course, we need investments. Despite the fact that there is a war going on, we need to present our plans now so that investors can study these projects and make informed decisions,” said Igor Terekhov.

The mayor also emphasized that Kharkiv residents expect the city to recover as soon as possible. Therefore, work is already underway in Kharkiv to restore the housing stock. They are being carried out at the expense of the city and state budgets, as well as with the financial support of international partners.
