France has handed over generators to Kharkiv
As part of the meeting between Mayor Igor Terekhov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Ukraine Gael Vessier the day before, 13 generators were handed over to Kharkiv.
Kharkiv Heating Networks will use the equipment to provide heat to Kharkiv residents during the heating season.
In addition, the parties discussed the organization of a number of projects in the field of education, the arrangement of Kharkiv schools, as well as the supply of humanitarian and medical assistance.
Gael Veyer said that during the visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Paris on June 7, an agreement was signed to create a French fund of €200 million to support Ukraine.
«These funds will be used to implement infrastructure projects in the fields of energy, water and heat supply. And this fall we will see concrete projects implemented», - the ambassador said.
For his part, Ihor Terekhov thanked France for its political, financial, and military support in difficult times for Ukraine.
«The powerful assistance from the French people that you provide us in preparation for the winter is very important to us. I am confident that together we will meet all the challenges and go through the heating season with dignity», - the mayor said.
