Representatives of the Kharkiv City Council paid an official visit to the twin city of Turku (Finland).

In particular, Kharkiv residents took part in the forum ‘Secure Future of Europe’, which was opened by the Prime Minister of Finland, Peterri Orpo. He expressed his full support for Kharkiv and stressed the solidarity of the Finnish people with the Ukrainian people in the fight against the Russian aggressor.

During the visit, he also met with the mayor of Turku, Mina Arve, and the Ambassador of Ukraine to Finland, Olga Dibrova. The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the fields of energy, social policy, medicine, education, business, etc. Mina Arve also noted that the sister city will continue to support Kharkiv.

For reference. Kharkiv established sister city relations with the city of Turku in 2022. At the end of last year, the Finnish city sent two buses to Kharkiv. In addition, the twin city donated generators, heaters, food, and hygiene products to Kharkiv residents.
