A delegation from Kharkiv visited the sister city of Košice

Representatives of the Kharkiv City Council visited the sister city of Košice (the Slovak Republic) on April 21-24.

The purpose of the visit was to sum up the results of the implementation of the "Cities in the Enlarged European Space" project. Slovak partners organized professional seminars on issues of transparency in municipal administration, preservation of cultural heritage, and building a sustainable society through popularization of science.

According to the Vice-Mayor of Košice Richard Dlhy, the sister city is confident that Ukraine will become part of the European Union.

"This will give a new impetus to the implementation of similar projects, open up new ways of financing socially useful initiatives. In turn, we want to assure that our city is open to cooperation with Kharkiv now and in the future," he emphasized.

Yuliia Zghurska, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Department, noted that this project is of a practical nature.

"Many successes were achieved within its framework: an agreement on twinning between our cities was signed, Kharkiv Days were held in Košice, the issue of joint implementation of cross-border projects was investigated. I believe in the great future of our cooperation and hope that very soon, after our victory, we will be able to show you a successful and flourishing Kharkiv!" - said Yuliia Zghurska.
