Annalena Baerbock got familiarized with the work of Children’s Hospital No. 16

Today, on January 10, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock visited the City Children’s Clinical Hospital No. 16 which was damaged by hostile shelling.
Windows were smashed in the medical facility, and the building’s structure was partially damaged. Together with Mayor Ihor Terekhov, Annalena Baerbock familiarized herself with the hospital’s work during the war.
According to Ihor Terekhov, despite the russian ‘Hrad’ shelling, which was several kilometers away from the hospital, and the damage, the institution continued to provide medical care to young patients. According to the Mayor, as of today, the hospital has been fully restored.
‘A lot has been done to keep this hospital functioning. It did not stand idle for a single day during the war. And now there are about 80 patients here. I am very grateful to our doctors who, despite all this horror, worked. There was not a single day when they were not here and did not provide medical care to children,’ said Ihor Terekhov.
He also reminded that as a result of russian aggression in Kharkiv, 53 medical institutions sustained varying degrees of damage.
