Residential buildings damaged by shelling are being restored in Kharkiv

The city authorities, together with international partners, are working to restore buildings that were damaged or destroyed as a result of Russia's armed aggression.

This was stated in an interview with «Ukrainian Radio. Kharkiv», Mayor Igor Terekhov said. He said that over 9,000 buildings in the city were damaged by shelling, including 4,500 residential buildings.

«The city authorities are doing everything possible to restore them. We are cooperating with donors, volunteers and foreign partners. For example, we sent an appeal to an international fund to restore private houses in Kulinichi. There, drones hit the homes of elderly people, and the residents were left with nothing - they needed help», - the mayor said.

Igor Terekhov noted that by the end of the year, about 50 houses that had suffered significant damage would be rebuilt in the town.
