Kharkiv IT Cluster held a general meeting in Kharkiv
On 9 December, Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov took part in the general annual meeting of Kharkiv IT Cluster.
The event was held in the format of a teleconference: participants from Kharkiv met in person, while those from Kyiv and Warsaw connected online. The meeting brought together more than 250 CEOs and top managers of leading Ukrainian IT companies to summarise the results of this year and set priorities for the next one.
In his speech, Igor Terekhov emphasised the importance of cooperation between the city and the IT sector, thanked the companies for their contribution to the development of Kharkiv and highlighted the joint successes. According to him, one of the main tasks for the city authorities today is to help businesses develop and operate in Kharkiv. He also noted that the municipality, together with experts from Harvard and Oxford universities and the Norman Foster Foundation, has already developed an economic development strategy for the city.
«I would also like to thank everyone who contributed to the creation of the Situation Centre and the differentiated alarm system. Thanks to your work, the response time to emergencies and shelling has been reduced from five minutes to one. This has saved and continues to save lives», - the mayor said.
Together with representatives of Kharkiv IT Cluster, Igor Terekhov presented letters of appreciation to the companies that made a significant contribution to the creation of the Situation Centre. In turn, Kharkiv City Council received an award from the cluster for active cooperation and achievements in digital transformation.
