Kharkiv plans to build new houses on the site of destroyed ones

This was announced today, on July 14, during a national telethon by Mayor Igor Terekhov. 

According to him, about 4.5 thousand residential buildings in Kharkiv were damaged. In each of them, experts are conducting an examination to determine whether it is possible to restore the building. 

«We are also doing a financial analysis to compare the cost of reconstruction and demolition/building a new house in the same place. If the construction of a new building costs as much as the restoration of the damaged one, then, of course, we will build new houses. They will be equipped with energy saving systems and underground parking lots», - said Igor Terekhov.
