Selection of candidates for honorary ambassadors announced in Kharkiv
The city of Kharkiv has announced the selection of candidates for honorary ambassadors of the Kharkiv city territorial community to represent it abroad.
The purpose of the honorary ambassadors is to further enhance the international reputation of Kharkiv, raise awareness of the international community about the city and its comprehensive potential, strengthen its positive image and develop international cooperation in various spheres of public life. Honorary ambassadors are called upon to spread the ideas of investment attractiveness and perspective plans for the development of Kharkiv.
The activities of honorary ambassadors can be carried out both in Ukraine and abroad.
The following persons may become honorary ambassadors:
- persons who are citizens of Ukraine or citizens of countries that have close ties with Kharkiv;
- representatives in the fields of science and education, information technology and digital promotion, culture, sports, business and economy, as well as public figures and other persons willing to promote Kharkiv internationally.
The main tasks of the ambassadors include establishing a process of communication and optimising the implementation of joint projects with foreign cities in various fields, as well as facilitating the exchange of information with Ukrainian and foreign partners. They should participate in business councils, business organisations and other structures established by Kharkiv's partner cities or twin cities, as well as help to find investments.
To participate in the selection you need:
- a copy of an identity document, a foreign passport;
- a motivation letter addressed to Kharkiv city mayor Igor Terekhov (the letter should indicate which projects have already been implemented and which the candidate plans to implement in the country in which he/she wishes to become an honorary ambassador);
- an autobiography with a high-quality portrait photo;
- letters of recommendation and other documents confirming that the candidate meets the selection criteria;
- a certificate of foreign language proficiency (if any);
- consent to the collection, processing and (or) use of information on the candidate's personal data.
Ambassadors will work on a voluntary basis.
