The winners of the “Young Person of the Year” contest were awarded in Kharkiv

“I am often asked what makes Kharkiv special, and I always answer that it is you - the youth! You are the ones who give the impetus and set the rhythm. You are not indifferent to the problems of the city, to the lives of people, to the fate of the country. Our task is to provide all the conditions for you to succeed here. We want universities and schools to work, and we want to preserve the scientific and human resources potential,” the mayor said.  

This year, the competition was held in 11 nominations: “Students of General Secondary Education Institutions”, “Students of Vocational (Vocational and Technical) Education Institutions”, “Students of Professional Higher Education Institutions”, “Students (Cadets) of Higher Education Institutions”, “Scientific Activity”, “Culture and Art”, “Physical Culture and Sports”, “Activities in the Non-production Sphere”, “Activities in the Field of Production, Entrepreneurship”, “Public Activity”, and “Volunteer Activity”.

For reference. The contest “Young Person of the Year” is held within the framework of the city program “Kharkiv Youth”. The purpose of the contest is to support gifted and talented youth, encourage significant achievements of young professionals in production, scientific and creative activities, as well as in various spheres of public life. The contest is organized by the Family and Youth Directorate of the Department for Family, Youth and Sports.
