The consequences of an enemy attack are being repaired in Kharkiv

As a result of the shelling on 15 September, 29 buildings in Kharkiv were damaged, with more than 1,100 windows smashed.

This was announced today, 16 September, by Mayor Igor Terekhov on the air of the 1+1 Breakfast programme.

He thanked the rescuers, police and utility workers who worked almost all night to contain the aftermath of the explosion in Nemyshlyansky district.

According to the mayor, a total of 42 people were injured in the attack, including four children. Two people are in very serious condition. In addition, the body of an elderly woman was recovered from the rubble.

‘Many residents were evacuated from the building. We opened an ‘invincibility point’ for them, and people stayed there all night. We also provided them with things because they left the burning building with nothing. Now we are settling everyone who needs it in hostels,’ said Igor Terekhov.

The mayor said that in addition to windows, the roofs were damaged. Today, experts will close the contours.

‘We will also make an expert assessment of the house that was directly hit, because the damage is very serious - two entrances were almost completely destroyed,’ said Igor Terekhov.
