Mobile and green city - this is how architects see the Kharkiv of the future

When creating the new Master Plan for the City of Kharkiv, architects focus on a green, mobile city with developed scientific and industrial potential.
This was announced today, February 3, at a press meeting on proposals to amend the Master Plan by British architect Norman Foster.
According to him, Kharkiv is a city with great potential, and it is very important to preserve rivers, green spaces, and improve the City’s mobility, connect pedestrian and bicycle paths and create such transport networks throughout the City.
In addition, Norman Foster reminded that some residential buildings can be restored after the war using modern technologies, and since Kharkiv is an industrial city, it is important to switch to clean energy sources.
Also, the development of scientific potential is an important component. Norman Foster reminded about the prospects of creating a science park - a large location with universities, residential buildings, shops, and research laboratories.
