Between June 2 and June 8, Russian aggressors carried out 89 attacks on the city of Kharkiv.
This was reported by Mayor Ihor Terekhov on his social media accounts.
According to him, more than half of them were inflicted by the enemy on June 7. As a result of the aggressor country's combined air attack, which was the largest since the start of the full-scale invasion, dozens of residential buildings, industrial premises, a children's railway, and educational institutions were damaged. A total of 66 people were injured, including seven children. Doctors are still fighting for the lives of some of them.
"Five civilians were killed: three women and two men. Three victims were sleeping in their beds when UAVs hit their homes. Two were killed by a KAB at their workplace. My sincere condolences to every family that has lost loved ones! Six more people are currently missing. They were at a civilian enterprise that was targeted by the enemy. A search and rescue operation is currently underway there. Rescuers are doing everything possible to find and save everyone,” the mayor said.
Igor Terekhov urged Kharkiv residents not to ignore danger signals. The mayor said that over the past week, the alarm in Kharkiv lasted 53 hours and 19 minutes, which is 40 hours less than in the region.
