Kharkiv works to restore damaged architectural monuments

Regular hostile shelling in Kharkiv has damaged many architectural monuments.

In an interview with Glavkom, Mayor Igor Terekhov said that the city authorities are actively cooperating with international partners who are ready to join in the restoration of the destroyed buildings. In particular, this applies to the architectural ensemble on Svobody Square - the HOVA building, universities, etc.

‘Kharkiv has tremendous potential because it has always been a city of science and students. It will remain so. It is very important for us to restore the damaged buildings. When the new General Plan was developed, it was estimated that 2.5 million people would live in the city, so we need to find opportunities to jointly restore buildings and architectural monuments with the state and foreign partners,’ said Igor Terekhov.
