Ihor Terekhov: No evacuation from Kharkiv is being carried out or planned
Neither citizens, nor state institutions will be evacuated from Kharkiv.
This was stated by Mayor Ihor Terekhov today, 7 March, on the air of the national telethon.
According to him, the enemy has changed the tactics of shelling Kharkiv. While last year it was striking at critical infrastructure facilities, now it is targeting residential areas where civilians live. The main goal of the russian federation is to intimidate citizens, including through forced evacuation.
"The citizens understand that no one will ever give up defending Kharkiv. We are working with the government to strengthen the protection of the sky. The enemy will not succeed in sowing panic among Kharkiv residents. No evacuation from the City of Kharkiv is being carried out or planned. All government agencies and utilities are operating as usual. Kharkiv continues to live and work. People need to understand that this is all fake news, russian centres for social and psychological propoganda. We will never give up our City to anyone!" - emphasised Ihor Terekhov.
