Ihor Terekhov met with residents of one of the most destroyed high-rise buildings in Kyivskyi district
At the meeting with the owners of the damaged and destroyed apartments, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov discussed the future of their house, noting that, according to expert opinions, the most destroyed part of the high-rise building is not subject to restoration.
‘Experts confirmed that the first entrance of the building cannot be restored for sure. As for the second entrance, experts currently estimate its damage at 65%, but once the rubble is removed, the level of structural damage may be higher,’ the Mayor explained to the residents.
Ihor Terekhov noted that the construction of new residential buildings will begin only after the war is over. However, today the City authorities are already actively working on project documentation and attracting investments for large-scale reconstruction of the City.
‘To start building, we need to wait for our victory, otherwise it is dangerous. It makes no sense to build while the fighting continues. We are all in this difficult situation, and russia is to blame. I understand that there are those among you who have nowhere to live. For our part, we can offer you temporary accommodation in dormitories. I know that I am responsible to you, and believe me, my team and I are doing everything possible to ensure that everyone whose homes were damaged by enemy shelling gets new decent apartments as soon as possible,’ the Mayor emphasized.
