Ihor Terekhov: There is no radiation threat to Kharkiv

The de-energisation of the Neutron Source nuclear facility, which occurred due to shelling, does not pose a radiation threat to Kharkiv.
This was stated today, 6 April, on the air of the national telethon by Mayor Ihor Terekhov.
"A backup power supply system was connected. In addition, power was restored via another line. Therefore, there is no radiation threat to Kharkiv," the Mayor said.
At the same time, Ihor Terekhov noted that the situation with the power supply in the City remains difficult, and the schedules of power outages continue to apply to Kharkiv residents. Despite the difficulties, the City managed to launch the subway and put trolleybuses on the line.
The Mayor also thanked the entrepreneurs who continue to operate generators and provide services to Kharkiv residents. He stressed that despite the power supply problems, there is no shortage of food and fuel in Kharkiv.
