Ihor Terekhov: It is possible to close the sky over Kharkiv

Modern air defence systems are able to close the skies over Kharkiv, despite its proximity to the border with the russian aggressor.
Mayor Ihor Terekhov said this in an interview with TSN.ua.
"It is possible to protect the sky over Kharkiv almost completely. This requires modern air defence systems, including anti-drone defence. The President, the government, and the military leadership are working on this. I am confident that we will have this protection. It is a difficult process, because this is foreign equipment, we do not have it, but I am sure that we will," said Ihor Terekhov.
The Mayor also stressed that Ukraine's victory in a full-scale war with russia will only mean returning to the 1991 borders.
"This requires concentration of everyone, the help of our international partners and the courage of our military," said Igor Terekhov.
The Mayor noted that the City is doing everything possible to bring the victory closer as soon as possible. In particular, over UAH 500 million was transferred from the city budget last year for the needs of the military. Another UAH 100 million was allocated in the first months of 2024.
