Ihor Terekhov: In ten years Kharkiv will be Ukrainian-speaking

Mayor of Kharkiv Ihor Terekhov said this in an interview with the German publication "Deutsche Welle".
 
According to him, the policy of Ukrainianisation should be very balanced. The citizens little by little, without compulsion switch to their native language. Especially young people express such a desire.
 
"Kharkiv has already proved to the whole world that we are a Ukrainian city. Here russians were met not with flowers, but with mortars and bullets. Kharkiv citizens are real Ukrainians. The time will come and we will all speak Ukrainian. It is a matter of ten years", - said Ihor Terekhov.
