Igor Terekhov: I want to see the world's effective response to the shelling of Kharkiv

Kharkiv expects an effective response from international partners to the constant shelling of the city's civilian infrastructure by the aggressor country.

This was stated today, June 28, during a national telethon by Mayor Igor Terekhov.

He noted that the day before the enemy attacked Kharkiv for the first time with a FAB-500.

"Fortunately, the bomb did not explode, but there is destruction. Thus, 13 private houses, a dormitory and an educational institution were damaged. Five people were injured of varying degrees," the mayor said.

According to him, Kharkiv, which suffers from shelling almost every day, is counting on global support. That is why Igor Terekhov recently wrote a letter to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay calling for an end to Russian attacks on the city and the region.

"I really want the world to not just express concern about the constant shelling of Kharkiv. There must be an effective response. There are a lot of children and women in Kharkiv, and every day there is shelling, every day there are victims. Therefore, I expect a really effective reaction to stop the enemy and stop the terror on his part," emphasized Igor Terekhov.
