Kharkiv needs modern air defense systems from Western partners to protect civilians.
Mayor Ihor Terekhov noted that dozens of Kharkiv civilians have been killed in the last week alone, and search and rescue operations at the site of the shelling of a construction hypermarket are ongoing.
“Entire families have been killed. This is terrorism on the part of the Russians. But today we need to prevent such attacks. And there is no need to drive everyone underground. Yes, we are forced to do this now, but it should not be a system,” the head of Kharkiv emphasized.
