Igor Terekhov honoured the memory of a police officer killed in the shooting

On 3 May, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov laid flowers at the monument to police colonel Oleksandr Ivanov, who was killed in an enemy air strike last year.
On the night of 4 April 2024, he and his colleagues arrived at the site of a drone explosion in the Novobavarskyi district, and 40 minutes later the enemy struck again. Three rescuers were killed. Oleksandr Ivanov was seriously injured and died in hospital on 26 April, just one day shy of his 45th birthday.
The monument has recently been erected near the Police Department No. 1 of Kharkiv District Police Department No. 3, where the officer served for many years. Oleksandr Ivanov was the deputy head of the department for preventive activities.
