Ihor Terekhov raised the issue of blocking tax invoices

Today, on 15 March, Mayor of Kharkiv Ihor Terekhov took part in the international scientific and practical conference "Problematic issues of resolving tax disputes under martial law" which was held in Kharkiv.
The event was organised by the Administrative Court of Cassation of the Supreme Court of Ukraine, Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University and the Second Administrative Court of Appeal.
In his speech, Ihor Terekhov noted that the biggest problem of Kharkiv business in dealing with the tax authorities is the blocking of tax invoices – 44% of entrepreneurs complain about this. He also added that a large number of complaints relate to the calculation of real estate tax, when the tax is charged on premises that were destroyed as a result of hostilities, or the tax is charged twice on the same building before and after reconstruction, justifying this by doubling the respective entry in the register.
"I recently had a meeting with entrepreneurs in our City. And they all complain about the blocking of tax invoices, which not only hinders the development of their business, but also calls into question the possibility of continuing their activities. Therefore, it is very good that these problematic issues are not being silenced today. Although it does happen in different ways: sometimes the business is right, sometimes the tax authorities are right, I would like to see decisions made more fairly," the Mayor addressed the conference participants.
