Ihor Terekhov: Our construction companies are working to restore Kharkiv
Construction companies continue to work on the restoration of the housing stock that was damaged by the shelling of the City of Kharkiv.
As Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported today, January 24, during a national TV-marathon, restoration work is underway, in particular, in Northern Saltivka, the residential area that suffered the most as a result of massive enemy attacks.
According to the Mayor, today the UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi, who had a working visit to Kharkiv, saw the scale of the destruction in his own eyes.
‘He was amazed by the large-scale destruction caused by the russian aggressor – kindergartens, schools, infrastructure, and residential multi-storey buildings. I showed him what kind of reconstruction work we are doing now. Our construction companies are working. In 2022, we managed to repair 66 buildings, and now we are not stopping this work,’ Ihor Terekhov emphasized.
