Igor Terekhov: Differentiated alarm system makes life easier for Kharkiv residents

The duration of air raid alerts in Kharkiv was reduced by 168 hours over the seven weeks of the differentiated alert system.

This was announced today, 17 April, on the air of the national telethon by Mayor Igor Terekhov.

He noted that over the past week alone, air raid alerts in Kharkiv lasted 39 hours less than in Kharkiv Oblast.

‘With this system, people can live a completely different life: banks, government agencies, and shops are open longer. In addition, the Situation Centre has been operating in Kharkiv for a year now. Thanks to it, we detect danger in seconds and respond to emergencies faster. Previously, it took about 4-5 minutes to determine the place of arrival, but now it takes 30 seconds,’ said Igor Terekhov.
