Children from Kharkiv went to the Artek camp

On 18 and 19 April, 22 children from Kharkiv went to the Artek International Children's Centre for rehabilitation in two groups.
According to the Department of Family, Youth and Sports, this year the following categories were granted the privilege:
- orphans and children deprived of parental care;
- children from low-income families;
- children of persons recognised as combatants;
- children whose parent was killed in action;
- children of deceased persons as defined by the Law of Ukraine "On the Status of War Veterans and Guarantees of Their Social Protection";
- children registered as internally displaced persons who receive an IDP allowance.
Due to the Russian aggression in 2014, Artek was relocated to the Kyiv suburbs, to the territory of the Pushcha-Vodytsia climate resort. In 2022, Artek opened another recreation center in Zakarpattia.
As a reminder, vouchers are provided free of charge to children from privileged categories through the district committees of the Department of Family, Youth and Sports (contact details here).
