About 8,000 buildings have received varying degrees of damage as a result of the shelling of Kharkiv since the beginning of the war.
Mayor Ihor Terekhov said this in an interview with the TV channel "We - Ukraine".
The mayor noted that, despite the intensification of enemy shelling, restoration work in Kharkiv continues.
"We cannot afford to stop the restoration work that has already begun," he emphasized.
The Mayor reminded that in 2022, 200 residential buildings were restored in Kharkiv, last year - 67, but they had much more serious destruction. Today, construction workers are working on objects that were almost completely destroyed. In parallel with the restoration of the housing stock, the restoration of critical infrastructure facilities is underway, as the quality of life of Kharkiv residents depends on this, Ihor Terekhov emphasized.
