Ihor Terekhov: Experts are working to restore critical infrastructure in the City

Experts are working continuously to restore the operation of critical infrastructure facilities that have recently been damaged due to massive enemy attacks.
Mayor of Kharkiv Ihor Terekhov told Hromadske Radio that almost immediately after the shelling on 22 March, the City managed to restore the water supply system. And they are still working to restore power supply. In particular, the metro operation has already been resumed.
"We had to take extraordinary steps to power the subway lines. We managed to do the impossible. The metro is the City's transport artery which is essential for residents. In addition, free municipal buses run in Kharkiv," the Mayor said.
According to the Mayor, the enemy has caused very serious damage to transformer substations. It will take time to restore them.
"The City is still powered in an alternative way. The priority now is to connect residential buildings and critical infrastructure to the power supply," said Ihor Terekhov.
