Kharkiv Increases Expenditures on Military Assistance and Security

The Kharkiv City Council has made amendments to the budget of the City Territorial Community for the year 2024.
The corresponding decision was adopted today, February 28, at an extraordinary session of the Kharkiv City Council.
As reported by the Department of Budget and Finance, the changes are driven by the necessity to fund additional measures within the "Comprehensive Programme for the Development of Civil Protection, Enhancement of Public Safety, and Implementation of Measures for the Preparation of Territorial Defense of the Kharkiv City Territorial Community for the Years 2018-2025."
Utilizing the available budget surplus and redistributing previously approved budget allocations, expenditures were increased for the improvement of safety levels in the City and providing assistance to military units by UAH 47.5 million. Funding for the uninterrupted operation of heating and water supply systems was increased by UAH 32.9 million, tram track repair and reconstruction, contact networks, and roads by UAH 28.9 million, and restoration of the residential building fund by UAH 13.8 million.
